Providing a stimulating atmosphere to engage the child’s attention and sustain the pace and progress of their learning all with the aim of raising standards and achievement levels. The work that goes into the areas we support your child’s learning journey cannot be over emphasized. However, they can be broken down into these 5 main areas:
- PRACTICE: reinforcing classroom core skills by helping your child develop different useful strategies for learning
- CHALLENGE: stretching more able, less able and gifted children appropriately
- PROGRESS: providing 5/10/15/20mins progress tests to check understanding and application of learning
- REVISION & CORRECTION: developing adequate skills for tests
- READINESS FOR TESTS: preparation and practice for National Tests
RECOMMENDATION
It is strongly recommended that parents do not stop children’s tuition abruptly when they are well into developing their understanding and filling gaps in their learning. This not only disrupts their learning socially, academically and psychologically (their growth, development and self esteem) it puts them at an unfair disadvantage in class in comparison to what their peers are achieving (especially if an examination is about to be taken). Availability and effective communication is very important. If at any point something is unclear, please do not hesitate to ask for clarification to avoid any mistakes, misunderstanding, assumptions, arguments and confusion
